G. Wang, J.-K. Liu, X.-W. Li, L. Zheng, M. Li, Y. Chen, F. Meng

Abstract

Biomass gasification is a kind of environmentally friendly technology for new energy utilization. The tar from biomass gasification is the key factor which restricts the development of biomass gasification technology. The experiment has been carried out on the cracking characteristics of the tar from biomass gasification at the temperatures from 700-1000°C, and the notion of tar cracking gas production rate was put forward. The result showed that the tar cracking gas from biomass gasification can be an effective energy supplement for the producer gas from gasification, and along with the raising of the pyrolysis temperature, the gas yield rate of tar cracking is increasing, the trend of tar cracking gradually is more and more obvious.
